Rodney Forseth

Coach Forseth is in his 9th year at Simpson University,
Prior to that he coached wrestling at Enterprise High School for 19 years. His dual meet record was 128-38-1.

Coach Forseth founded and was tournament director of the NorCal tournament for 21 years, and he was the North Section Masters tournament director for 20 years.

Coach Forseth was instrumental in forming the Save Our Sports Foundation and kept Wrestling and other sports from being eliminated in the Shasta Union School District. For his diligent involvement in wrestling, he was awarded with the NSCIF “Distinguished Service Award”. 

Coach Rod was on the committee to reestablish Shasta JC wrestling.
He helped establish and has been a part of Simpson University’s coaching team from our founding year of 2012, first as an assistant to Head Coach Don Williams, taking over as Head Coach in 2016.

In 2018 Coach Rod encouraged and assisted Simpson University in starting a women’s wrestling program that is celebrating its first season 2019/20.

While coaching at EHS and at Simpson, Coach Rod has coached 15 All Americans to date and continues as the Men’s Wrestling Head Coach, and the Director of Wrestling for Simpson University.

In 2019, Coach Forseth was inducted into the
California State Hall of Fame, for his Lifetime of Service.
