REDDING, Calif. - Saturday night belonged to
Timothy Parker and the Red Hawks. Parker's season high of 33 points helped the Red Hawks hold off the Pioneers in an 87-78 victory.

Timothy Parker gave Simpson the early 4-0 lead.
The Red Hawks grew their largest lead of the half to nine points midway through the first half on a layup by
Dylan Harms and
Preston Kilbert.
The Pioneers did not go away as they remained within striking distance before tying the game at 33 with just a minute and a half left in the first half.
Simpson regained the lead by scoring the final five points of the first half with a layup by
Jack Jillson, a free throw by Parker, and a last-second tip-in by Kilbert to end the half, 38-33 in favor of the Red Hawks.
Parker led the first half charge with nine points, as Jillson provided key minutes off the bench, following close behind with seven points.
The Red Hawks continued to fend off the Pioneers as they kept a five-point lead for much of the second half.
The Pioneers pulled within two points, but a technical foul on the Pioneers allowed the Red Hawks to regain their six-point advantage on a layup by Parker and free throws by
Kellen Torrey and Jillson.
Pacific Union's last gasp came within three minutes as they pulled within five points before the Red Hawks stretched their largest lead of the game to 15 points with Parker and Allen combining for 12 points.
Parker led the offense with 33 points to go along with four steals while shooting 15-20 from the floor, while Allen followed close behind with 22 points and seven rebounds.
With the win, Simpson improves to 3-1 in conference play as they are tied for first in the Cal Pac standings with Northern New Mexico.
Simpson looks to be back in action this week, Thursday, as they hit the road to take on Nelson University and Northern New Mexico in Arizona.
