REDDING, Calif. - Simpson wrestlers kicked off its 2023-24 season this weekend at Foothill High School. 

The Red Hawks hosted the six annual Simpson Duals for the men and it was the second annual Simpson Women's Open Tournament.

For the men's team, our Red Hawks went 3 and 2 on the day with strong wins over Santa Rosa college (24-11) Lassen College (27-6) and a close win over Sierra College.

Simpson lost to the 4-time National Champions and to the second ranked Fresno City College Rams.


In the Women's Open tournament, our Simpson Women placed as follows.

There were no team scores for this tournament, but the women recorded outstanding individuals scores. 

Next week our Women's team will be competing at Menlo College at the Menlo Open while our Men's Freshmen and Sophomore wrestlers will compete at the Bill Music invitation in Fresno.
