REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson finished out their season Saturday night in the best way possible, honoring their seniors with a 60-52 win over UC Merced. When it all came down to it, defense was the difference in tonight's game. The Red Hawks held Merced to just 29.2% shooting from the field and 17.2% from beyond the arc.
The Red Hawks finished with four scorers in double digits including the two seniors
Alyson Rippingham and
Fallon Greenhaw. Both players contributed  12 points in the contest with Greenhaw also finishing with a season high 7 assists.
Lexi Thompson knocked down 3 triples, finishing with 13 points and
Madison Cox controlled the glass pulling down her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 16 rebounds.
The Red Hawks finish the season tied for fifth place in the Cal Pac, just one spot shy of reaching the tournament.Â
