REDDING, Calif. - After falling behind early in game one, the Red Hawks never panicked and were able to scrap together four runs in the last three innings to come away with a comeback walk-off win, 8-7. In game two, an early five spot in the 3rd inning put up by Corban put Simpson in a hole they couldn't climb out of.
GAME 1:
Despite a lackluster 3rd inning,
Micah Gunter put together five solid innings in his start for Simpson in game one. The Red Hawks consistently putting together good rallies scoring in six innings. Colin Bovee came into to relief
Micah Gunter in the 6th inning and threw 3 solid innings that gave Simpson the opportunity to pursue the comeback. In the 9th inning,
Thomas Ahlstrom singled home Kenny Sellers for the win.

GAME 2:
Errors really hurt Simpson in game two as the Red Hawks suffered from eight errors that allowed three unearned runs. Simpson only recorded nine hits as a team to Corban's 17. The Warriors' Kris Jackson spun a gem with seven strong innings holding Simpson's high-powered offense to just three runs while striking out five batters.
